Datacom’s Messaging and Collaboration service line contains our proven expertise with solutions based on Microsoft Exchange, Lync, SharePoint and BizTalk and many more. Messaging and Collaboration contains infrastructure components and products related to the sharing of information between users and systems.
Datacom has a long history of successful Microsoft Exchange infrastructure implementations, upgrades and migrations from its inception. We have developed our knowledge, experience and certifications across all subsequent releases of this core infrastructure product. We also offer extensive expertise integrating email with instant messaging solutions – including Microsoft Lync.
Microsoft Lync introduces corporate instant messaging (IM) and presence (availability indicators), PC to PC video, and voice communications which are integrated into Microsoft products such as Outlook and SharePoint. In addition to this, Microsoft Lync also has the ability to integrate voice systems and even replace your traditional PABX. This brings cost savings and reduces support overheads by consolidating telephony services onto a single system with IM, Presence, Voice and Video conferencing.
A compliment to Exchange, and an ever-increasing requirement due to the vast amount of email data currently being stored, is the need for email archiving. Other reasons for archiving also include compliance and journaling. Datacom selected Symantec’s Enterprise Vault as its product of choice in this area and we have successfully integrated this with several important clients for these reasons.
Messaging and Collaboration also covers other specialist areas such as Microsoft BizTalk and SharePoint at an infrastructure level (architecture, design and build).
